Position Overview: As a Big Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our big data infrastructure. You will work closely with our data scientists and analysts to ensure that our data is accurate, accessible, and secure. Your role will involve building and optimizing our data pipelines, databases, and data warehouses. You will also be responsible for implementing data security measures and ensuring data quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain our big data infrastructure
• Build and optimize data pipelines to collect, store, and process large datasets
• Implement data security measures to protect sensitive information
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand their data requirements
• Develop and maintain databases and data warehouses to store and organize data
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with data pipelines or databases
• Develop and maintain documentation for the data infrastructure and processes
• Continuously monitor and optimize data performance to ensure efficiency and scalability
• Work with cross-functional teams to identify and implement new data sources and tools
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in big data technologies

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Big Data Engineer or a similar role
• Strong knowledge of big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka
• Experience with data warehouse design and implementation
• Proficient in programming languages such as Java, Python, or Scala
• Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
