Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Big Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Big Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining our big data infrastructure, ensuring that it is scalable, secure, and efficient. You will work closely with our data scientists and analysts to develop and implement data-driven solutions that will drive business growth and success. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in big data technologies and a passion for solving complex data problems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build and maintain our big data infrastructure, including data pipelines, databases, and data warehouses
• Develop and implement data-driven solutions to support business objectives
• Work closely with data scientists and analysts to understand data requirements and provide technical solutions
• Optimize and tune the performance of our big data systems to ensure efficiency and scalability
• Identify and troubleshoot data issues, and implement solutions in a timely manner
• Ensure data security and compliance with relevant regulations and policies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data from various sources and systems
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in big data and incorporate them into our infrastructure and processes
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior team members

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Big Data Engineer or in a similar role
• Strong experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, and NoSQL databases
• Proficient in programming languages such as Java, Python, or Scala
• Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and tools
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
