Position: Hadoop Developer
Location: New York, New York, United States
Salary: $171000 - $208000
Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hadoop Developer to join our dynamic team. As a Hadoop Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our Hadoop ecosystem. This includes working with large datasets, creating data pipelines, and optimizing performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop Hadoop-based solutions to support business requirements
- Develop and maintain data pipelines to ingest, transform, and process large datasets
- Optimize Hadoop clusters for maximum performance and scalability
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with the Hadoop ecosystem
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of Hadoop with other systems
- Monitor and maintain the health of the Hadoop infrastructure
- Stay updated with the latest Hadoop technologies and best practices to continuously improve our systems
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Hadoop Developer or similar role
- Strong experience with Hadoop ecosystem including HDFS, MapReduce, Hive, Pig, and Spark
- Proficient in programming languages such as Java, Scala, or Python
- Knowledge of SQL and database systems
- Experience with data warehousing and ETL processes
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix operating systems
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
