Location: New York, New York, United States
Salary: $171000 - $208000
Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Kernel Developer to join our dynamic team. As a Kernel Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the core operating system of our products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the stability, scalability, and performance of our software.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop the core operating system of our products
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code that meets industry standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical designs
- Identify and troubleshoot complex issues in the kernel code
- Optimize the performance of the kernel and improve system stability
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in kernel development and implement them in our products
- Write and maintain technical documentation for the kernel code
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve code quality
- Mentor junior developers and share your knowledge and expertise with the team
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Kernel Developer or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of C/C++ programming languages
- Extensive experience with operating system fundamentals, including memory management, process scheduling, and file systems
- Strong understanding of computer architecture and hardware components
- Experience with debugging tools and techniques
- Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
