Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Staff Engineer to join our team. As a Principal Staff Engineer, you will be responsible for leading and directing a team of engineers, while also being hands-on in the development and implementation of complex software systems. You will have a deep understanding of software engineering principles and a proven track record of delivering high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of engineers in the design, development, and delivery of high-quality software solutions
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, promoting a culture of continuous learning and growth
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, and other stakeholders to define technical requirements and develop solutions that meet business needs
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards
• Identify and mitigate technical risks, and propose solutions to complex technical challenges
• Stay updated with the latest technologies and trends in software engineering, and drive their adoption within the team
• Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to the development of technical roadmaps
• Foster a culture of innovation, experimentation, and continuous improvement within the team
• Lead by example, demonstrating a strong work ethic, professionalism, and a positive attitude

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
• Strong expertise in one or more programming languages, such as Java, C++, or Python
• Extensive experience with software design and architecture, and a deep understanding of object-oriented principles
• Proven track record of delivering complex software projects, from design to deployment
• Experience with agile development methodologies and tools, such as Scrum and JIRA
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make data-driven decisions
• Passion for learning and staying updated with emerging technologies and industry trends
• Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
