Position: Senior Spark Developer
Location: San Francisco, California, United States
Salary: $107 Per hour
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Spark Developer to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Spark Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our company's data processing and analytics platform. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain our Spark-based data processing and analytics platform
- Design and implement data pipelines to collect, process, and analyze large datasets
- Optimize and tune Spark jobs for performance and scalability
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to implement data-driven solutions
- Develop and maintain documentation for code, processes, and procedures
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner
- Keep up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in Spark and related technologies
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior team members
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development with at least 3 years in Spark
- Strong proficiency in Spark, Scala, and SQL
- Experience with Hadoop, Hive, and other big data technologies
- Proven track record of designing and implementing complex data processing solutions
- Knowledge of software development best practices and agile methodologies
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Experience in mentoring and leading a team is a plus
