Salary: $209000 - $240000

Overview: As a Database Architect, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the company's database systems. You will work closely with the development team to ensure the databases meet the needs of the organization and are optimized for performance. You will also be responsible for data security, backup and recovery strategies, and ensuring data integrity. This is a crucial role that requires a strong understanding of database management and a high level of attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze the organization's database needs and design a suitable database architecture
• Collaborate with developers to design and implement database solutions that support business requirements
• Develop data models and database designs to ensure data integrity and efficient data retrieval
• Develop and maintain data standards and procedures to ensure consistency across all databases
• Monitor database performance and provide recommendations for improvements
• Design backup and recovery strategies to ensure the integrity and availability of data
• Ensure data security by implementing access controls, encryption, and data masking techniques
• Conduct regular audits to identify and resolve any data quality issues
• Stay updated on the latest database technologies and make recommendations for their implementation
• Provide technical support and guidance to the development team on database-related issues
• Collaborate with other teams to integrate databases with other systems and applications
• Document database architecture, processes, and procedures for future reference

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Database Architect or a similar role
• Strong understanding of database management systems (DBMS) and data architecture principles
• Proficient in SQL and experience with database design and modeling tools
• Experience with database performance tuning and optimization techniques
• Familiarity with data security and backup and recovery strategies
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
