Job Title: Sybase Consultant

Salary: $92 Per hour

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sybase Consultant to join our team. As a Sybase Consultant, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support for our clients' Sybase databases. You will work closely with our clients to understand their database needs and provide solutions that align with their business goals. This is a dynamic role that requires a strong understanding of Sybase databases, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support for our clients' Sybase databases, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Work closely with clients to understand their database requirements and provide solutions that meet their business needs.
• Design and implement database structures, including tables, views, and stored procedures.
• Optimize database performance by identifying and resolving any issues or bottlenecks.
• Conduct regular database maintenance tasks, such as backups, index rebuilds, and data purges.
• Perform database upgrades and migrations as needed.
• Collaborate with other members of the IT team to ensure seamless integration of databases with other systems.
• Stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements in Sybase database technology and make recommendations to improve our clients' databases.
• Provide training and support to end-users on how to effectively use the Sybase databases.
• Work on multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience working with Sybase databases.
• Strong knowledge of Sybase database architecture, including Sybase ASE and Replication Server.
• Experience with database design, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Proficient in SQL and database programming languages.
• Familiarity with other database technologies, such as Oracle and SQL Server.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and team members.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Relevant certifications, such as Sybase Certified Professional, are a plus.
