I know not everyone will agree with this, but this has been true in my experience.
When HR or senior engineers look at a developer's GitHub, they can see things that a CGPA can never show.
• Can they actually build software?
• Do they finish what they start?
• Can they write clean, maintainable code?
• Are they learning outside the classroom or are they just completing assignments?
• Have they worked on real projects or contributed to open source?
A CGPA reflects your academic performance.
A GitHub profile reflects your growth as a developer.
Two years ago, I created a repository to help developers unlock GitHub achievements and make their profiles stand out.

If you're a student, start building today.
You don't need 50 repositories.
Just 3–5 well-documented, real projects can leave a stronger impression than dozens of unfinished ones.
