About Availability

Bio

Experienced Senior Java Software Engineer with 13 years of expertise in backend development, specializing in scalable, high-performance microservices. Proven ability to design, develop, and optimize core systems and high-availability ingestion pipelines using Java 21, Spring Boot, Apache Kafka, and Elasticsearch. Adept at implementing performance optimization strategies, including caching and load balancing, to significantly reduce latency and increase throughput. Demonstrated track record in collaborating effectively within Agile teams, conducting code reviews, and providing technical leadership and mentorship for complex system reliability and security.

Experience

Owned frontend delivery for 3 AI-enabled SaaS applications using Next.js and TypeScript, building API-integrated dashboards, reusable product UI patterns, and production-ready user workflows. Reduced education-material validation from 12 months to 1 month by designing AI-assisted, human-in-the-loop workflows that helped reviewers validate content faster and more accurately. Designed reusable frontend architecture with Next.js and Material UI, helping accelerate development by more than 2x across multiple products. Improved release confidence by building Playwright E2E test suites and running automated test pipelines in Azure every 24 hours. Built responsive, workflow-heavy interfaces for education and HR products, focusing on clear task flows, reliable data states, and practical AI-assisted user experiences. Collaborated with distributed stakeholders, backend contributors, and remote reviewers to translate operational workflows into usable SaaS product interfaces. Hired, trained, and led 2 remote content reviewers across different countries, improving validation quality to nearly 99% while maintaining a scalable human-in-the-loop review process.

Developed core microservices for a social networking platform, emphasizing high performance and robust security. Designed, developed, and maintained critical high-availability microservices for scheduling, jobs, profiles, and notification systems. Leveraged Java 21, Spring Boot, Apache Kafka, and Elasticsearch to engineer scalable, high-performance applications within a microservices architecture. Applied clean code principles, unit testing, and best practices to ensure maintainability and high code quality. Collaborated effectively in an Agile/Scrum environment, participating in code reviews and pair programming to drive successful feature releases. Implemented performance optimization strategies, including caching and load balancing, to significantly reduce latency and increase system throughput. Enhanced system security through encryption, secure authentication protocols, and regular audits to safeguard sensitive user data. Contributed to strengthening expertise in distributed systems, enhancing platform scalability, maintainability, and overall system reliability.

Led frontend development for a customer-facing travel marketplace, working across Next.js, React, TypeScript, API integration, SSR, dashboard tooling, and performance optimization. Redesigned the main tour search and booking flow, reducing latency from 3.0 seconds to under 0.6 seconds through Next.js performance optimization, SSR implementation, and backend/API improvements. Led a team of 5 in-house developers, mentoring junior engineers and helping developers with limited Next.js experience become core contributors. Built internal dashboards and SEO/content tools that contributed to 2.3 million search impressions in the first year. Improved frontend scalability by standardizing reusable UI patterns for search, booking, dashboard, filtering, and content-management workflows. Collaborated closely with UI/UX, SEO, content, business, and backend stakeholders to improve customer journeys and internal operational tooling. Supported a customer-facing platform that reached 18k+ active users in its first year.

Built and deployed an internal workflow platform using Next.js, React, TypeScript, Express.js, and REST APIs, reducing permit workflow duration from 1 week to 2 days. Developed role-specific dashboards, approval flows, and Excel export features that reduced approval cycle time by 40 hours and improved stakeholder decision-making. Implemented frontend interfaces for paper-heavy operational workflows, including forms, protected views, status tracking, dashboard tables, and data export flows. Supported 1,000+ submissions in the first month by improving release reliability, production monitoring, and operational stability. Managed Docker-based deployments, Jenkins CI/CD, and cloud server setup, helping maintain 99.9% uptime. Worked directly with business stakeholders to convert manual processes into reliable web-based workflows.

Contributed to 8+ web products for multiple companies using React.js, Next.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. Developed responsive, API-integrated user interfaces with consistent behavior across desktop and mobile devices. Collaborated closely with UI/UX, SEO, QA, and content teams to deliver production-ready frontend features. Applied responsive design principles and cross-browser testing to improve usability, accessibility, and interface consistency. Optimized frontend performance by streamlining assets, implementing lazy loading, and improving load times by 32%. Reduced debugging time by 36% through TypeScript adoption, maintainable component patterns, and clearer frontend structure. Built and maintained frontend layouts, forms, content pages, landing pages, dashboards, and reusable interface patterns.

Built web application features by implementing frontend layouts, forms, UI fixes, and REST API integrations. Improved application stability by debugging frontend issues and fixing bugs across assigned product modules. Strengthened frontend foundations through hands-on work with browser-based implementation, responsive layouts, form handling, data flows, and UI state management. Collaborated with senior developers to deliver production frontend features while improving code quality, maintainability, and user-facing reliability.
