Global Charity Services is a financial Foundation (Switzerland), TrustBridge Foundation (USA), and International Generosity Foundation. These companies are non-profit entities that assist high net worth donors from around the world in donating to causes they care about through Donor Advised Funds (DAFs). In this role I provided and directed daily IT operational activities and delivered effective IT solutions to enhance mission-critical business operations. Analyze, and execute cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization in close collaboration with others on the Executive Team. Develop operational application portfolios and acquire service level agreements for the user community within the organization to achieve collective goals. Provide vision and leadership for developing and implementing information technology initiatives across all areas of the organization.
Built IT departmental structure using outside consulting resources in India and Romania and creating an IT Solutions Department. V Implemented a security awareness program which trained and measured vulnerability (KnowBe4) V Implemented and configured NetSuite One World into the organization, eliminating cost inefficient technologies currently in place. V Implemented and trained staff on SCRUM best practices to assist with strategic alignment and standard processes. V Configured and built out NetSuite One World Mid-Market as the company's ERP system including numerous restful APIs which connected to various systems throughout the world to source and transmit critical financial data. Built DAF in a Box (DIAB) financial software bundle for NetSuite One World Mid-Market. This is the main driver of Trust Bridge Global Foundation. The product provides a connection to other similar charities throughout the world and provides income to Trust Bridge Global Foundation. V Use of Amazon Web Services (AWS) for server environment. V Built a total of five customer portals for non-profit charities throughout the world. These portals allowed for electronic donations, grant distributions, foreign exchange transactions and other money transfers. V Built a helpdesk process to allow for more efficient problem and incident management. Developed and implemented change control and release management policies and procedures. Created Service Level Agreements including a Service Catalog to outline expectations and set standards.

Berger Transfer & Storage is the largest agent for Allied Van and a top 200 and transportation company based in the St. Paul Minnesota region. In addition to household moving services, Berger Transfer & Storage also operates a relocation company, an LTL carrier and a Final Mile Delivery company. Their footprint comprises all the United States and coordinates international shipments. In this role I directed daily IT operational activities and delivered effective IT solutions to enhance mission-critical business operations. Analyzed, and executed cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization in close collaboration with the executive management team and decision makers. I developed operational application portfolios and acquired service level agreements for the user community within the organization to achieve collective goals. I provided vision and leadership for developing and implementing information technology initiatives across all areas of the organization. V Implemented Document Management System with OCR to improve overall productivity level. V Implemented SCRUM processes and procedures to make IT work efficient and produce a better product. V Updated Wireless technology at all warehouse locations to streamline warehouse operations. V Developed new processes to connect the business and technology including matching SMEs with applications and an Executive steering committee that allowed It to focus on the important goals and accelerate IT production. V Developed and implemented change control, release management, and escalation policies and procedures to streamline overall IT operations. Created Service Level Agreements including a Service Catalog to outline expectations and set standards. V Developed Disaster Recovery plan and built out a DRAAS (Disaster Recovery) including Business Continuity Plan using Amazon Web Services (AWS). Built hybrid Route Accounting/Transportation Management System. This system removed all paper from the distribution business segment and allowed for streamlined processes and better business and accounting transparency. Approximate savings/cost containment to the organization was $25 million. Built a Warehouse Management System which integrated with the Route Accounting and TMS System to provide a seamless transition of product from one platform to the next. V Coordinated and implemented several mergers and acquisitions during my tenure. These acquisitions ranged from small local moving companies to a large multi-state merger. These mergers and acquisitions raised company revenue to approximately $300 million.

In this role I developed and implemented IT strategy for business alignment and provided innovative IT initiatives to spur company growth. I delivered strategic leadership and guidance regarding technology initiatives that reduced costs and increased value of the brand name. I analyzed and delivered effective technology solutions to senior management to ensure implementation of the best IT practices. V Secured millions annually by implementing a route accounting system that enabled electronic functionality for Direct Store Delivery (DSD) including an online ordering system. This included tight integrations with accounting & ERP systems (SAP). V Enabled manufacturing plants to realize significant improvements in productivity and product quality by implementing plant efficiency software to measure production line performance. V Implemented a Highly Available Disaster Recovery (HADR) environment for ERP System to eliminate downtime. V Saved ~$300K annually by implementing standard MFU devices at all locations. Secured ~$150K annually by implementing Transportation Management System to electronically tender loads. Streamlined IT department and increased efficiencies by implementing ITIL standards. Developed policies and procedures to provide guidelines for employees to protect sensitive company data. Reduced costs by establishing hardware and software standards policy to standardize computer systems. Exceeded business requirements by developing effective SLA documentation. Coordinated and implemented several mergers and acquisitions in my tenure.

In this role I was responsible for delivering infrastructure to a diverse customer base. This included all desktop and network support. I developed network infrastructure designs for the Company as well as the buildings themselves. I worked effectively with telecommunications providers and construction supervisors to deploy best in class infrastructure to the building and coordinated this offering to new tenants. Assisted in creating policies and procedures documentation. V Created standard process for IT department to utilize for ensure new buildings were configured and ready for state-of-the-art technology for our client base. Assisted in implementing a highly available disaster recovery (HADR) model. Constantly reviewed technology costs to keep department within or below budgeted targets. Assisted in creating effective SLA documentation. Provided infrastructure and desktop level support to end users in multiple states including Illinois, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Indiana and Missouri. V Designed and implemented infrastructure plans to best support the business and allow for strong future growth. V Assisted in numerous mergers and acquisitions, including the merger of the Weeks Corporation into the Duke portfolio. The Weeks Corporation was a realtor and construction company of similar size, which effectively doubled the size of the company, creating a disaster recovery and secondary corporate office in Atlanta, GA.

DecisionOne and Bell Atlantic Business Services was a large national computer services company based in Malvern, Pennsylvania and Baltimore, Maryland, respectively. DecisionOne purchased Bell Atlantic Business Services during my employment with them. This company provided technology solutions to clients throughout the United States. These clients ranged from large corporate entities to residential customers. The company was fully acquired by a private equity firm in 1997. I worked for a private equity firm (under the name of DecisionOne) as a Manager and as a Desktop Support Specialist. In the hands-on management role I built and implemented an IT strategy for my department aligned with overall company pillars and goals. I assisted in providing innovative IT initiatives to spur company growth. I delivered leadership and guidance regarding technology initiatives that reduced cost and increased value of the departmental client offerings. V Streamlined Desktop Technology Services department and increased efficiencies by implementing technology standards including developing policies and procedures to provide guidelines for employees to protect sensitive company and personal data.
