Experience

Lead a cross-functional team of 6 engineers, establishing coding standards and review processes that reduced production bugs by 30%. Own system architecture decisions for a high-traffic home inspection platform, ensuring scalability, security, and 99.9% uptime. Mentored junior and mid-level developers through structured 1-on-1s and pair programming sessions. Introduced AI-assisted development workflows (Cursor IDE, LLM code review) that cut feature delivery time by ~25%.

Built and maintained core backend features for the DrBalcony platform using PHP, improving overall site performance and security posture. Optimized database queries and server-side processes, reducing average API response time significantly. Implemented security hardening measures to protect user data and prevent vulnerabilities.

Led a team of backend developers delivering Laravel-based microservices for a large-scale social/marketplace platform. Oversaw architecture decisions for inter-service communication and worked closely with DevOps on deployment pipelines and infrastructure improvements. Served as technical liaison between engineering, product owners, and stakeholders — accelerating feature delivery and reducing misalignment.

Designed and built scalable microservices using Laravel and Lumen, improving overall system throughput. Integrated and maintained VoIP services for real-time communication features within the platform. Leveraged Amazon S3 and AWS services for cloud storage and file management at scale.

Developed and maintained software for petroleum equipment storage and sales management. Advised on service infrastructure improvements aligned with government-grade security and reliability requirements. Led backend development initiatives to modernize company services.

Built and maintained an online ticketing system handling high-traffic spikes on match days. Optimized backend performance to reliably process thousands of concurrent transactions during peak periods.

Developed infrastructure for an edtech startup focused on virtual classes and tutoring management. Implemented backend solutions to streamline virtual learning workflows and improve platform stability.

Architected a large-scale educational platform integrating with Adobe Connect and BigBlueButton for live virtual classrooms. Built core backend systems in PHP and Python, including an online exam engine and VOD streaming pipeline. Managed cloud-based server infrastructure across multiple regions for uninterrupted service delivery.
