• The migration of the metadata was from a fully populated set of Collibra data catalogues. This work entailed utilizing the filtering feature of Collibra to identify each portion of the Collibra catalogue being migrated. Once filtered I utilized the extraction capability to create csv files which were then utilized to import into CP4D. I needed to create mappings between the Collibra entities and the CP4D entities. This was done for all the various types of Collibra artifacts. Whereas, Collibra supported formulas and enhanced text we need to remove embedded special characters so that the csv files exported could be imported cleanly.
• As a member of the Data Catalog team was responsible for migrating metadata to CP4D
• Created scripts using Python to migrate metadata into CP4D
• Created scripts to create logical models, physical models, bi reports, tables and columns, business terms, and any other type of metadata within CP4D using Python.
• Utilized the CP4D Database to capture required identifiers whenever possible. Responsible for ensuring the synch up of catalogs.
• Responsible for using Projects to run MDI/MDE on connections established by the platform team to pull in metadata. This includes running MDI imports for Lineage.
• As a member of the IBM Data Elite team, played a key role in strategic solution development, high-priority consulting, and leading integrated Data Fabric solutions.
• Specialized in CI/CD pipeline management, Rubbernecks (Open Shift) application development, and data governance with a recent focus on Manta tools.
