Owned and evolved the core Java server responsible for system stability, performance, and business-critical workflows on a platform peaking at ~870 Mbit/s and up to 15K concurrent messaging connections across thousands of installations in 50+ countries. Maintained and improved a custom first-level cache, OLAP framework, and data replication & migration system, ensuring data consistency across distributed installations. Supported multiple API versions and protocols via a custom adapter layer, ensuring backward and forward compatibility. Engineered backport-compatible patches applied across heterogeneous deployed server versions, closing security gaps and fixing defects without per-version rework. Delivered features for compliance with regional regulations, adapting a complex legacy codebase without disrupting existing functionality. Participated in architecture decisions, estimations, and complex incident support, and provided customer-facing technical support for critical issues. Reduced production incidents and improved system stability through proactive debugging and performance tuning. Resolved cross-service issues across multiple teams and tech stacks, contributing to adjacent codebases and improving CI/CD pipelines to reduce integration and deployment friction.

Migrated a system prototype from Pega to Spring microservices architecture for a major bank's internal process management system. Migrated all microservices from Oracle to Postgres, ensuring seamless data transition and performance. Designed and implemented complex business workflows and validation logic for regulated workflows. Built integrations with internal bank systems and government services, enhancing interoperability. Acted as backend developer in a microservice team, designing APIs, deployment pipelines, and ensuring system reliability. Improved UX performance, delivery speed, and system reliability through targeted optimizations. Onboarded and mentored new colleagues, presenting internal libraries and technical solutions during engineering knowledge-sharing sessions.

Progressed from junior to senior developer across multiple outsourced projects, occasionally acting as team lead and solution architect. Built a government mobile app backend (API gateway/proxy) from scratch. Developed a retail cash register backend with monitoring, shift management, acquiring, and Zabbix integration from scratch. Migrated a route-building mobile app with real-time telemetry, updates API for mobile apps and transport integrations from prototype to production, taking on cross-functional responsibilities across development, architecture, testing, support, and DevOps. Took a SaaS startup backend from prototype to early production. Provided unit testing and backend support for a government integration project. Utilized technologies including Java 8, Spring Boot, Java EE (WildFly), JUnit, Hibernate, Postgres, Oracle, Redis, Elasticsearch, Zabbix, MQ, Maven, Gradle, Bamboo, Docker, and Flyway.
